Hello all, sorry for the delay but I had taxes to do this week!

Here is Episode 8 with Keith Freund, 1/2 of the minimalist pop duo Trouble Books (the other 1/2 is his wife), owner/operator(?) of the Akron, Ohio record label Bark and Hiss, and all-around creative-type. Keith shares his own personal songwriting process, as well as how he lucked out by scoring an enthusiastic UK distributor/contact as a result of emailing a blog he liked.

Keith also wrote a book, called "Flipped Boat: Reminiscences on the Great Illustrated Classics," which he published through Lulu. It's described as, "Summaries and drawings of each of the 72 titles in Baronet Book's Great Illustrated Classics series. Sometimes the memory is fuzzy and not terrifically accurate, but that makes for much more fun." You can download or order it here.

We mention Square Records a lot in several episodes of the podcast, and you can see what that's all about here for a bit of reference. Also, buy something from them.

The opening and closing songs are some of Keith's work in Trouble Books. And Tait isn't with us this week, by the way!
